ABOUT US
Lilac City Early Learning Center is a licensed childcare and preschool facility located in Northeast Spokane,1020 E Cozza Drive Spokane, WA 99208. We provide services for children ages 4 weeks to 5 years. We are open 7:00am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. Children can attend 2 to 5 days per week, up to 10 hours per day.
OUR MISSION
We strive to provide a nurturing, cooperative classroom environment that promotes cultural values and supports positive relationships and respectful interaction. We believe that, by empowering children, they will possess confidence in their abilities and establish lasting relationships with teachers and peers. We will achieve this by fostering the intellectual, creative, social, emotional, and physical growth and development of our students. We aspire to have each child develop a positive outlook towards school, a better appreciation of the world around them, and acquire a lifelong love for learning during their time spent at Lilac City Early Learning Center.
Research shows that children learn by doing, and they need many opportunities to explore and grow. We provide preschool activities that foster creativity and promote emotional, cognitive, social, language and physical development.
OUR CURRICULUM
Our daily lessons follow a predictable routine, emphasize safety and participation, and provide many open-ended, multi-sensory activities for the children to explore and discover.

The center will be transitioning to the use of Creative Curriculum throughout our program in the spring and summer of 2021. We expect all classrooms to be utilizing the curriculum in full by the fall of 2021. You can visit: www.teachingstrategies.com for more information.

Hi, I'm Brittney! I am the Staff Supervisor at Lilac City Early Learning Center and Lead Teacher of the Toddler 3 classroom. I will be celebrating 8 years at Lilac City Early Learning Center this year. I have been working with children for 13 years. I love this job because of the amazing, unique personalities I get to work and play with every day. I have three wonderful children of my own and in my free time you can find me jumping on the trampoline with them, going on runs, playing tennis or reading.

Infant Teachers
Hi, I'm Caitlin! I've been with Lilac City Early Learning Center since September 2020. My position at LCELC is a toddler/infant float. I graduated with my AA in Liberal Arts from Spokane Community College and would like to continue my education and receive my BA in Early Childhood Development. In my free time, I am spending time with my son, my dogs, family, and friends. Exploring new places, reading, and baking are also a few hobbies I enjoy doing.
Hi, I'm Shá! I have had the pleasure of working at Lilac City Early Learning Center since August 2020. I have two children who have also been able to experience this wonderful atmosphere. Since I became a mom my hobbies include doing anything with my children that puts a smile on their faces, such as going to parks, out to eat, or anywhere children can play and learn.
Hi, I'm Amy! I am an Assistant Teacher in the Infant Room. I have worked for Lilac City Early Learning Center since June 2019. I love working in the infant room because baby giggles are the best!
Toddler Teachers
Hi, I'm Haleigh! I currently work as the Lead Teacher in the Toddler 2 classroom. I have been working at Lilac City Early Learning Center since September 2020. I’m currently working on my BA in early care and education from University of Washington. In the warmer weather I like to walk local trails and in the cooler months, I prefer to cozy up at home with a good book and a warm drink!
Hi, I'm Faith! I am the Toddler 2 Assistant. I have been working with children for over 20 years but started with Lilac City Early Learning Center in September of 2020. I have a Career Certificate in Child Daycare Management and completed my CDA (Child Development Associate) in 2012. When I am not working, I enjoy crafting, video games with my family, and am the Cub Master for my son’s Cub Scout pack.

Hi, I'm Jessica! I love teaching in our preschool classroom. I come from a small town in Northern California with 23 years of experience teaching early childhood education. I have been in Spokane for the past 3 years and with Lilac City Early Learning Center for 2 years. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family. I enjoy playing board games, and video games, having movie nights, reading, photography, and spending time out and about getting to know this city.
Pre-K Teachers
Hi, I'm Talibah! I am in the preschool room. I have been working with children for 37 years, and can’t imagine myself with any other career. I have been working at Lilac City Early Learning Center since August of 2022. In my free time I love hanging with my grands and great grands. I enjoy making hair bows, jewelry, sparkly shoes, cooking and writing stories. More than anything, I love everything purple!
Hi, I'm Caroline! I am the assistant teacher in Pre-K. I have been at Lilac City Early Learning Center since April 2022. My favorite activity to do with the kids is playing tag during outside time. In my free time, I like to crochet and go on walks.
